CCH sees spike in virus patients

COLUMBUS - On Monday, Columbus Community Hospital announced it had seen an increase in coronavirus cases.
The hospital said it's currently caring for six patients who have tested positive, compared to when it had zero in late August.
CCH said in a news release that the average number of cases per week in the East Central District Health Department's area, which includes Platte, Colfax, Nance and Boone counties, had doubled in the previous 11 days.
Health officials urge residents to continue practicing social distancing and wearing masks in public.
According to DHHS, 1 percent of confirmed cases have died statewide.
