SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. — Legacy Coop has appointed E. Tod Clark as its interim chief executive officer, effective Feb. 3, as the cooperative moves forward with a leadership transition.

Clark succeeds Charlie Wright and brings decades of cooperative leadership experience to the role. He previously served as CEO of Farmers Coop Elevator in Hemingford and All Points Cooperative in Gothenburg, where he worked closely with boards of directors and management teams to support stable operations and long-term planning.

Legacy Coop officials said Clark’s background in the cooperative system and his familiarity with the region make him a strong fit to guide the organization during the interim period. Clark is a Nebraska native with strong ties to the Scottsbluff community and experience across multiple cooperative sectors.

A proponent of the cooperative business model, Clark has emphasized member ownership, grassroots governance and keeping producers at the center of decision-making as key priorities during his tenure. Legacy Coop operates as a producer-owned cooperative with divisions in grain, retail grocery, agronomy, feed and energy across western Nebraska and eastern Wyoming.

The cooperative also recognized the contributions of outgoing CEO Charlie Wright, thanking him for his leadership and service to Legacy Coop and wishing him well in his future endeavors.

Legacy Coop leadership said the appointment is intended to ensure continuity and steady operations while maintaining a focus on member needs and long-term stability.
