EPA grant powers Nebraska’s sustainable agriculture future

OMAHA, Neb. -- EPA Deputy Administrator Janet McCabe joined Nebraska Gov. Jim Pillen for a press conference and tour of Jacobsen's farm near Omaha.

The conference was to highlight the Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy's selection for a $307 million climate pollution reduction grant from the EPA.

With this grant, the state of Nebraska will become a leader in sustainable agriculture.

Pillen mentioned he knew that he felt grateful and excited because this will have an incredible impact for Nebraskans and future generations, since it will be a big economic boost and will positively impact agriculture and people throughout the state.
