Gordon man facing several felonies related to sexually assaulting a child and producing material from it

A 44-year-old Gordon man is facing charges for allegedly sexually assaulting a teenager, along with making and possessing child sexual abuse material.

GORDON, Neb. - A 44-year-old Gordon man is facing charges for allegedly sexually assaulting a teenager, along with making and possessing child sexual abuse material. Joshua Liebermann faces six felony counts, including Sexual Assault of a Child-1st Degree, Poss. Child Sexual Abuse Material/Minor, and Make/Direct/Create/Generate Child Sexual Abuse Material.

According to court documents, a report of sexual abuse of a minor led to a search warrant of Liebermann’s house on October 25. The victim told authorities that Liebermann started taking pictures of her that were sexual in nature when she was eight and having sex with her when she was 12. After Liebermann’s arrest, court documents state that Liebermann admitted to having sex with the victim starting when she was 14. Authorities are investigating possible other cases connected to the crimes.
