SPRINGFIELD, Neb. - Beatrice's bid to repeat as Trailblazer Conference Tournament champions was ended on Monday evening. 

Platteview topped Beatrice 3-1 in round one of the TBC Tournament behind a dominant day on the mound from Bryson Banks, as the Platteview starter tossed a complete game allowing one run on one hit. Beatrice's only hit was a triple for Kale Koch - he later scored that inning on an RBI sacrafice groundout by Austin Baldwin. 

Ty Weichel got the start tossing 5.1 innings allowing three runs on six hits with six strikeouts and one walk. 

With the loss, Beatrice falls to 7-7 and falls into the consolation bracket hosting Platte Valley at Christenson Field on Tuesday evening.
