Sidney’s Keian Kaiser commits to Iowa State football

SIDNEY, Neb. — One of Nebraska’s top high school football prospects is heading to the Big 12.
Sidney High School junior linebacker and tight end Keian Kaiser announced his verbal commitment to Iowa State University on Tuesday night, declaring on social media, “I’m home!!!!! 1000% committed” after being offered a scholarship on Nov. 1, 2024.
The 6-foot-3, 205-pound three-star prospect chose the Cyclones over offers from Wyoming and Lindenwood. He's the third player from Nebraska to commit to Iowa State and the ninth-known verbal commit to the Cyclones' 2026 class.
Kaiser was a cornerstone on both sides of the ball for the Red Raiders during their 11-1 season in 2024, which ended with a Class C1 semifinal loss to Central City.
Defensively, Kaiser racked up 127 total tackles, two interceptions and a fumble recovery in his junior campaign. On offense, he hauled in 14 receptions for 198 yards and six touchdowns.
He was named the Class C1-7 Defensive Player of the Year, a member of the All-Western Conference team and was selected as an all-state player by media outlets across Nebraska.
Over his three-year varsity career, Kaiser has totaled 241 tackles, three interceptions and two fumble recoveries. Offensively, he’s recorded 21 receptions for 290 yards and eight touchdowns.
Kaiser and the Red Raiders will open the 2025 season on the road at Cozad on Friday, Aug. 29.
He helped lead the Sidney boys basketball team back to the state tournament for the first time since 2023 and also competes on the Red Raiders track and field team.
Kaiser will hop on board The Big Boy on Thursday at 7:40 a.m. to talk about his commitment and what’s next in his football journey.
