Geneva native, Fillmore Central alum Maggie Hardin qualifies for 2024 Olympics

GENEVA, NEB. - Maggie Malone Hardin is making a return to the Olympics. 

The Geneva, NE. native earned her spot on Team USA for the 2024 summer games in Paris by finishing first in the U.S. Olympic Trials in the women's javelin throw.  Malone Hardin's throw of 64.58 broke the previous meet record. 

Malone Hardin is a graduate of Fillmore Central and competed collegiately at Texas A&M. 

The 2024 games will be the third trip to the Olympics for Malone-Hardin, having previously competed in 2016 in Rio de Janiero and 2020 in Tokyo.
