NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - A new Miss Rodeo Nebraska was crowned Wednesday night at the Wild West Arena.

Danielle Forster of Smithfield was crowned Miss Rodeo Nebraska 2025. Forster also won the speech, appearance, and horsemanship pageant awards.

Brylee Thompson was named the second runner-up, and Ashlyn Mohling was named the first runner-up.

Forster said she has worked for this moment her entire life and was overjoyed when her name was called.

“I just feel so incredibly thankful and blessed, as you said this is something that I have worked for my entire life. I have competed before for Miss Rodeo Nebraska, and it’s something very surreal, and I’m very happy God put this in my path,” Forster said.

Forster graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a bachelor of science in animal science. She will graduate with her masters from UNL in August. Forster is also the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s horse judging coach.

Forster will assume her role as the new Miss Rodeo Nebraska in January.
