Emerald Ash Borer located in Lincoln County

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - The North Platte Tree Board has reported that Emerald Ash Borer has been found within Lincoln County.

According to a release from the North Platte Tree Board, Emerald Ash Border has been spotted in North Platte. Emerald Ash Borer can affect green, white, black and blue ash trees.

According to the Nebraska Forest Service, Emerald Ash Borer is a serious threat to valuable ash trees found in home landscapes and because of the aggressive nature of Emerald Ash Border trees in infested areas that are to be saved will likely require treatment throughout their lives.
