COLUMBUS, Neb. -- The Platte County Court notified residents their phone number has been hacked.

According to a release from Clerk Magistrate Darla Schiefelbein, the hackers call individuals appearing as the court’s phone number to sell insurance for anyone on Medicare.

The callers are soliciting funds for these “add-on policies” and the court stated these calls are not from the court and are not legitimate.

The court warned anyone who receives calls from the number (402)-563-4905 to hang up and not give the caller any personal information.
