SCHUYLER, Neb. -- One person is facing felony charges after a brief pursuit in Colfax County early Monday morning.

In the early morning hours of July 4, Colfax County Communications received a report of a man with a gun attempting to have contact with people at a home in the west part of Schuyler.

Schuyler Police Officers and Colfax County Deputies arrived on scene in less than two minutes, according to Colfax County Attorney Denise Kracl.

When officers attempted to stop the suspect, a brief vehicle pursuit commenced, leading out of Schuyler City limits.

Colfax County Deputies apprehended one suspect. The sole occupant of the vehicle, a man from Dodge County, was arrested on a variety of charges including felony flight to avoid arrest and driving while intoxicated, Kracl said.

The matter remains under investigation, but Kracl said no other suspects are being sought at this time.

Law enforcement officials are asking for anyone with information about the incident to contact the Schuyler Police Department at 402-352-2415.
