Girls 12U softball takes on Oshkosh at home

The girls 12U softball team played a double header Thursday night against Oshkosh at 6 p.m. at The Cheyenne Community Center Fields.

SIDNEY, Neb. — The girls 12U softball team played a double header Thursday night against Oshkosh at 6:00 p.m. at The Cheyenne Community Center Fields.

Number 12 Channing Hobson pitched two innings and struck out six batters in the first game. 

Sidney was up 2-0.

Hobson played catcher for the third inning and number 15 Auvi Cranmore became the pitched and got three more outs for the Shirt-Tales.

Oshkosh had bases loaded in the third and a hit out to the middle field caused Oshkosh to take the lead. 

Oshkosh won the first game 11-2.

Sidney came back scoring seven runs in the next game. Oshkosh kept up and beat the Shirt-Tales by only one run.

The Sidney girls cheered each other on through both games.

The Shirt-Tales play at home again Saturday, June 25th at 6:00 p.m.
