Large field fires blaze near Bancroft on Saturday

BANCROFT, Ne.-- Large field fires blazed in the Bancroft area throughout Saturday.

Thick and dark smoke could be seen on Highway 77 north of Lyons.

Videos that were sent to News Channel Nebraska showed large field fires around the area that could be seen from miles away. A bystander that's in the area, told NCN that the fires are currently spreading. 

There's no information yet on what exactly caused the fires to start but high winds around the state could be a strong possibility.
