Man arrested after Nance County pursuit

A man is behind bars after a pursuit in eastern Nebraska.

NANCE COUNTY, Neb. -- A man is behind bars after a pursuit in eastern Nebraska. 

The Valley County Sheriff's office said they passed along information that Steve Wamsley of Ord had a felony warrant and could possibly be passing through Howard County on Sunday. 

Howard County deputies then spotted Wamsley driving through St. Paul shortly before 6 p.m.

Authorities tried to stop the car, but a pursuit began, reaching speeds of more than 100 miles per hour. 

Eventually, deputies arrested him in rural Nance County. 

Formal charges have not yet been released.
