5 lbs of meth discovered in Butler County traffic stop

One person is behind bars after a traffic stop in eastern Nebraska uncovered methamphetamine.

BUTLER COUNTY, Neb. -- One person is behind bars after a traffic stop in eastern Nebraska uncovered methamphetamine.

The Butler County Sheriff's Office says it stopped a car driving along Highway 92 in Butler County last weekend.

Authorities say a K-9 was deployed and indicated the presence of drugs. A search of the car turned up around 5 lbs. of meth.

A man was taken into custody and a juvenile passenger was taken from the scene. Health and Human Services was contacted shortly afterward.
