COLUMBUS - In just a few days, Ag Park will come to life for the 2019 Platte County Fair.

The Exhibit Hall opens at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, and various activities will be taking place all day long for the rest of the week. For starters, each day of this year's fair will feature 4-H, FFA, and Open Class Exhibits and Livestock Shows, as well as a carnival and a variety of different musical acts.

The music will begin on Thursday night with Arcade Radio, and admission to the show will be completely free. Friday night will feature both the Nebraska Bush Pullers and a musical performance from Side Step, and Saturday night will see a performance from 38 Special, with special guests Brian Howe and Fran Cosmo.

Outside of the concerts, other events set for this year's fair include a 4-H Talent & Awards Show, a 4-H Bicycle Rodeo, the 2nd annual Baby Olympics, and the Platte County Celebrity Swine Showmanship Contest. Kids activities will also be provided during the afternoon on Saturday, with a kiddie tractor pull, stick horse jumping, and mutton busting all on the agenda.

Ag Park General Manager Brian Palmer says that there are things for all ages to enjoy at this year's county fair, and that it will be five days of fun for Platte County residents.
