Structure over Bottle Creek to be replaced by Iowa firm

BEATRICE – Nebraska Department of Transportation officials are announcing work to replace a bridge between Beatrice and the Homestead National Historical Park is set to get underway late this month.

NDOT officials say weather permitting, March 30th is the projected starting date for construction along Nebraska Highway Four, to remove and replace a bridge over Bottle Creek, about midway between Beatrice and the National Park.

Iowa Civil Contracting of Victor, Iowa will be doing the work.   During the project, traffic will be maintained with traffic signals and a ten-foot width restriction.  

The project completion is anticipated for October of this year.   Recently, some clearing and preparation around the bridge has been going on.
