LINCOLN - Omaha North is back in the state title game.

The third-seeded Vikings outlasted two-seed Kearney 59-47 in the Class A semifinals.

North forced 19 turnovers, out-rebounded the Bearcats 44-35, and never trailed in a physical, spirited contest.

The win puts North in the championship game for the first time since they finished runner-up to Omaha Marian in 2000.

Kearney finishes their season 21-4.
