Downtown Sounds unveils all-new concert lineup for 2026 summer series in Sidney
Downtown Sounds announces its 2026 summer concert lineup in Sidney, featuring all-new artists, three free shows and live music June through August.
By Hunter ArterburnSIDNEY, Neb. — 987 The Big Boy announced an all-new Downtown Sounds lineup of artists for its 2026 summer concert series, bringing three nights of live music to downtown Sidney with performers who have never appeared in the community before.
The free outdoor concert series will take place June 19, July 17 and Aug. 21, continuing Downtown Sounds’ tradition of showcasing emerging regional talent while drawing residents and visitors to the city’s downtown core.
The series opens June 19 with Nebraska singer-songwriter Noah James, whose roots-driven sound and recent viral momentum have made him a rising name across the Midwest. He will be joined by Nebraska rock group No Drinking On Grounds and Kansas-based Vegan Shark, a high-energy rock band known for explosive live shows.
Country music takes center stage July 17 with Kendall Eugene, who gained national exposure on NBC’s “The Voice” as a member of Team Reba. He will be joined by Kansas country artist Taylor Fugitt and South Dakota songwriter Todd Kieffer, a 2025 Deadwood Songwriters Competition runner-up.
The season concludes Aug. 21 with Nebraska artists Kyle Sayler, DJ Bridwell and Kimberly Meyer. Sayler has performed on the Nebraska State Fair main stage in back-to-back years, while Bridwell was inducted into the Nebraska Country Music Hall of Fame in 2025. Meyer is gaining attention for her breakout single “Call Me Crazy” and an upcoming EP.
Admission to all Downtown Sounds concerts is free. Gates, food and beverage service open at 5 p.m., with music starting at 6 p.m.
