KEARNEY, Neb. — Friday was a banner night in Kearney, with UNK celebrating its 2025 national championship in front of home fans.

The University of Nebraska Kearney's wrestling program unveiled its 2025 NCAA Division II national championship banner Friday night at the Health and Sports Center.

The ceremony took place ahead of UNK’s dual against Newman, marking the program’s 5th national title.

The Lopers won the championship earlier this year in Indianapolis, scoring 115 points and pulling away from the field.

All ten UNK wrestlers qualified for nationals, with eight earning All-American honors.
