Scottsbluff’s Hoxworth hired as NSAA assistant director

LINCOLN - The Nebraska School Activities Association announced the hiring of longtime Scottsbluff educator Dave Hoxworth as one of its new assistant directors.
Hoxworth, who has spent more than 30 years in Nebraska education, will begin his new role in January 2026. He has served as activities director at Scottsbluff High School for the past decade, where he oversaw one of western Nebraska’s largest athletic programs.
A familiar name within the NSAA, Hoxworth has served on the Class Caucus Review Committee and currently chairs the Competitive Equity Committee. He was instrumental in bringing the Class B boys and girls golf championships to Scottsbluff and Gering beginning in 2019, helping secure top-tier courses, recruit volunteers and promote the Panhandle as a championship destination.
NSAA Executive Director Jennifer Schwartz said Hoxworth’s experience and statewide connections make him an ideal addition to the association’s leadership team.
“Dave will be an excellent addition to the NSAA staff,” Schwartz said. “His experience, relationships with schools, and commitment to student-athletes will be assets to our member schools across Nebraska.”
Alongside Hoxworth, the NSAA also announced the hiring of soccer official and event manager Seth Leddy, who will join the organization in the spring of 2026 as the association’s primary soccer administrator.
Hoxworth’s appointment continues a career dedicated to student activities and athletics, as he prepares to bring his decades of experience to serve schools across Nebraska.
