Roadwork to begin on I-80 in Cheyenne, Deuel counties Sept. 15
Roadwork begins Sept. 15 on I-80 in Cheyenne and Deuel counties. Lane and width restrictions will be in place until October, NDOT says.
GERING, Neb. — Construction is set to begin Sept. 15 on a section of Interstate 80 in Cheyenne and Deuel counties, the Nebraska Department of Transportation announced.
The project, located between reference posts 74 and 85, will include bridge approach and deck repair as well as an epoxy resin seal coat. Traffic will be maintained during construction with lane restrictions, NDOT said. A 12-foot width restriction will also be in effect.
The project is expected to be completed in October.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, buckle up and put phones down.
