94th Potter Days draws crowd
POTTER -- Day 2 of the 94th Potter Days is in the books.
This year's community celebration started with the crowning of Potter Days Queen coronation Thursday. AnnMarie Pease was chosen as Queen and her attendant is Scarlett Taylor.
This is Pease' second year competing for Potter Days Queen.
"I ran last year, but got attendant. Micayla McConnell and Kenzie Shoemaker got it. They got a tie. It was the first time in like forever, so it was a cool experience," Pease said Saturday after the parade.
This year, Pease said the recognition is what surprised her.
"It was weird that people knew my name, but I didn't really know who they were," she said.
Saturday's event started with the Color Run, followed by the parade.
The day was filled with activities from the annual Tin Roof Sundae eating contest, the Craft Show, Duckpin Bowling, and an RC Plane show. Saturday concluded with live music.
Sunday starts with the PNCC off-road races, and a golf tournament. The three-day celebration concludes with Party in the Pasture Sunday featuring Mud County.
