BRIDGEPORT, Neb. — A Bridgeport man was arrested Monday afternoon after deputies with the Morrill County Sheriff’s Office located him on a felony warrant out of Kimball County.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies were advised at approximately 4:28 p.m. on Aug. 25 of a male subject wanted for writing fraudulent checks to purchase firearms. Deputies were familiar with the man and knew him to reside in Bridgeport.

The suspect, identified as Izac Harms, was later located in his vehicle near Seventh and K streets. Due to the nature of the offense and suspicion that Harms was armed, deputies conducted a felony stop near Seventh and Main Street.

Harms was taken into custody without incident. A firearm was found on him at the time of his arrest.

All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
