JULESBURG, Colo. – Authorities in Sedgwick County are searching for a man wanted in connection with a sexual assault investigation after deputies attempted to arrest him last week.

According to the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a 911 call at about 11 p.m. on Aug. 21 regarding a woman who said she was unable to get away from a male party in the 400 block of East 7th Street in Julesburg. Deputies said the woman reported being sexually assaulted the previous night and was transported from the scene for her safety.

On Aug. 22, deputies, along with Major Crime Investigators and the SPEAR Tactical Team, attempted to serve an arrest warrant at the suspect’s residence in Julesburg. Less-lethal devices were deployed during the operation to ensure officer and public safety, but the suspect was not located.

The suspect has been identified as Juan Carlos Perez Pulido, 41, who may also use the alias Carlos Gonzalez. He is wanted on charges of sexual assault, felony menacing, false imprisonment, unlawful possession of a firearm, and assault.

Pulido is described as 5’10”, 180 pounds, with black hair showing some white, balding on top but longer in the back. He has a full black-and-white beard and mustache. Authorities said he may be riding a 2000 maroon Harley-Davidson motorcycle with Nebraska plates 68-325.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information about Pulido’s whereabouts to call 970-474-3355.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
