SIDNEY, Neb. – The 2025 Downtown Sounds summer concert series wrapped up Friday night with a high-energy show with a large gathering of community members in Hickory Street Square.

The Aug. 15 finale featured performances from Tim Zach, Jaden Schumacher and Hockett, capping off the three-part concert series that has become a Sidney summer tradition for the last 11 years. Gates opened at 5 p.m. with food and beverage vendors on site, and music began at 6 p.m. The event was free and open to the public.

Organizers said this year’s expanded lineup brought a mix of country, rock and regional talent that resonated with the thousands of people that attended across all three nights. Families filled the downtown space to enjoy live music, food and community atmosphere.

The series is made possible by local sponsors, including A-L Tree Services, Sutton Home Gallery and Maddox Motor Company & RV Sales.

Organizers credited community support for helping to create a summer staple in Sidney and announced the concert series will return in 2026 on the third Friday in June, July and August.
