Kearney man arrested in connection to July shooting at downtown house party

KEARNEY, Neb. - A former UNK football player has been arrested on multiple firearm-related charges in connection with a July shooting at a downtown Kearney house party.
30-year-old Jordan Ingraham was recently arrested and charged with terroristic threats, unlawful discharge of a firearm and use of a firearm to commit a felony.
Kearney Police confirmed to News Channel Nebraska that Ingraham’s arrest is tied to the shooting that occurred in the early morning hours of July 27 in the 1800 block of Avenue A.
KPD said Ingraham is the only person arrested in connection with the incident so far, and the investigation remains open.
Ingraham is currently being held in the Buffalo County Jail on a $750,000 bond, with his preliminary hearing set for August 28.
The Buffalo County public defender assigned to Ingraham's case requested to be removed due to a high workload, but a judge denied that motion.
Ingraham previously played defensive line for the University of Nebraska at Kearney from 2016 to 2019, earning All-MIAA honors twice during his career with the Lopers.
