LINCOLN, Neb. -  Nebraska Rep. Mike Flood met another intense crowd at this third town hall of 2025.

The congressman was met with boos and a few cheers in Lincoln on Monday night. Flood shared his thoughts on the big beautiful bill, the Israel/Hamas conflict, and President Trump’s first eight months.

“No matter if we agree or we disagree, the fact you’re here tells me that you care,” Flood said. “You care about this state, you care about this city, and you care about this nation.”

The town hall took place at the Kimball Recital Hall on the campus of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Flood began the evening giving his thoughts on the recent passing of the Big Beautiful Bill of misconceptions, and healthcare , standing pat on one key element.

“If you are able to work, and you are 28 years old, you do not get free health care in America,” Flood said.

Flood also doubled down on his support of the release of the Epstein files.

“At the next performance session for congress you’ll see my name as a sponsor for a resolution to release the Epstein files, to project the victims,” Flood said. “I am for the release of those records.”

Questions also were raised about the continuing Israel/Hamas conflict, with Flood’s response leading to uproars from a full venue.

“You hav to remember, we are dealing with Hamas…. They use Palestinians as shields in their pursuit of terror and destruction against Israelis,” Flood said. “I support Israel.”

Despite another intense atmosphere, Flood has no regrets about any of the three town halls he’s hosted in 2025.

“I promised people when I ran that I would do this,” Flood said. “My predecessor did this 17 years in a row… You have to go to places comfortable and uncomfortable. If you want this job, you have to show up and answer their questions… I showed up and shook as many hands as I could, said to people directly, come see me in the office.”

After the town hall, Flood told reporters Monday night's town hall was the third and final he will hold in 2025.
