Madison County, Neb. – News Channel Nebraska continues its in-depth coverage of the trial of Carrie Jones, accused of manipulating her husband, Jason Jones, into the horrific murders of four Laurel residents and the arson of their homes in August 2022.

The fourth day of the trial at the Madison County Courthouse brought more evidence before the jury. Jurors were confronted with images of Jason Jones's extensive burns, stark reminders of the violence of that day.

The prosecution also presented video footage of Carrie Jones in conversation with investigators following a SWAT raid on their home, where authorities seized a cache of firearms and knives.

Among the evidence presented was a black case containing a handgun and a magazine, potentially the murder weapon, alongside other weapons bearing traces of blood and burned material.

Video footage taken by investigators showcased the devastation at the victims' homes – bloodstains, shattered glass, charred wood, and remnants of furniture and clothing, painting a grim picture of the early morning of August 4th.

The climax of the trial is expected Thursday at 9 a.m. when Jason Jones, Carrie's husband, is set to testify. His testimony is anticipated to be pivotal, potentially sealing Carrie's fate.
