LINCOLN — A Nebraska congressman who has hosted a pair of spirited town hall meetings is set to host another on Monday.

Mike Flood, a Republican serving Nebraska’s first district, is holding the event at Kimball Recital Hall on the University of Nebraska’s Lincoln campus. It’s scheduled to last from 5:00 to 6:00. Flood says he plans to talk about the Big Beautiful Bill before answering questions from the public.

“I’m going to start with telling people there’s a difference between Medicare, which is available to everyone over the age of 65 regardless of your income, and Medicaid, which is available to people that are vulnerable, not able-bodied, not able to work,” Flood said in a Thursday interview with NCN.

Earlier this year, Flood hosted town halls in Columbus and Seward. This marks his first town hall in Lincoln, which is the biggest city in his district and the most left-leaning.

Crowds at the previous town halls yelled jeers at Flood and asked pointed questions to the Congressman.

News Channel Nebraska is set to broadcast Monday’s event. You can watch on TV or stream the broadcast on Facebook, YouTube, and the NCN website.
