2025 State Fair to combine tradition with new additions across 11-day run
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. - The countdown is on for the Nebraska State Fair, and organizers say this year’s lineup is bigger than ever and features a little something for everyone.
The Nebraska State Fair opens in late August, and officials say this year’s 11-day event brings back fan favorites, while also adding plenty of new twists.
State officials say fair-goers can expect the return of classic attractions like the one-man band, a full lineup of local artists and crowd favorites like the demolition derby and tractor pull.
"There's so many cool things to see out here at the State Fair. No matter if you're here all 11 days or you come for one, there's no way you can soak it all in," said Nebraska State Fair Marketing Director Courtney Glock. "We try to give something new to see every single day to keep folks coming back. No matter your age, there's something to enjoy," Glock added.
New this year includes figure-8 dirt racing along, new musical acts and more.
The fair features eight major concerts- four inside and four outdoors, and includes a "Millennial Night Out" event.
This year’s fair is doubling down on unique food, and will have gluten-free options available for the first time.
News Channel Nebraska will have Colleen Williams, Kent Boughton and Dave Griek hosting an hour-long program at the fair which will debut on Friday, August 22nd.
