Stanton man arrested after pulling a gun on a deputy, police say

STANTON, Neb.- A northeast Nebraska man is under arrest after the Stanton County Sheriff says the man pulled a gun on a deputy.
The Stanton County Sheriff’s office says just before 3:00 a.m. on Sunday morning a deputy observed a vehicle spinning its tires in Stanton.
The driver was identified as 38-year-old Alan Wurdinger of Stanton.
Officials say Wurdinger pulled a handgun from his waistband but set it down after talking with the deputy.
Authorities say Wurdinger was taken to the ground after resisting the deputy's attempt to put handcuffs on him.
Wurdinger was charged with Exhibition Driving, Obstructing a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest-2nd offense and Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. A loaded semi-automatic pistol that Wurdinger possessed was seized during the investigation.
