LINCOLN, Neb.-- Nebraska track and field senior Axelina Johansson was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America First Team on Tuesday. 

A native of Hok, Sweden, Johansson earned her third career Academic All-America honor and her second selection to the first team, which she also accomplished last year. 

She is also a six time All-American in the shot put, winning gold in the 2025 NCAA indoor and 2023 NCAA outdoor championships.

The school-record holder in the shot put was a 2024 Paris Olympian for Sweden and placed tenth at the games.
