Mission woman charged for alleged assault at Valentine gas station

VALENTINE, Neb. - A 28-year-old Mission, South Dakota, woman is facing charges after authorities say she assaulted an employee at a Valentine gas station.
Raquel Colombe appeared in Cherry County Court on Monday on charges of assault causing bodily injury and criminal mischief.
A bench warrant was issued for Colombe in April 2024 after she failed to appear at two scheduled court hearings. That warrant was served more than a year later on July 9, 2025.
According to court documents, Colombe allegedly assaulted an employee at Speedee Mart, located at 101 E. Highway 20, on March 27, 2024. The affidavit states Colombe appeared to have been drinking when she took a stack of gaming machine receipts. When the employee followed her into the parking lot to retrieve them, Colombe allegedly punched him in the face and grabbed his glasses, causing a cut on his cheek.
Police later located Colombe in a vehicle parked behind the Niobrara Lodge in Valentine and recovered the receipts.
Colombe is scheduled to appear in court for arraignment on July 21.
