NORFOLK, Neb.-- An 81-year-old woman is fined $100 for disturbing the peace at a PETA protest.

Norma Jean Wilber was charged with disturbing the peace. Court documents report she represented herself in court on Tuesday and was fined $100.

The case dates back to a protest on June 2. A truck called "Hell on Wheels" was parked outside the restaurant Black Cow Fat Pig. It played recorded animal sounds and suggested that people go vegan.

Norma Jean Wilber parked her car in the turning lane by the restaurant, blocking people from driving in the southbound lane and from parking nearby. Every time the PETA truck drove by, Wilber honked profusely.

Once Norfolk Police arrived on the scene, they asked Wilber to move her vehicle and to stop honking her horn multiple times, but she refused.
