HASTINGS, Neb.- A Hastings man will be serving as the Regional Director with Sertoma Great Plains for the upcoming years.

Jim Sharrick stepped into his role on July 1.

According to the Sertomans, Sharrick has been an active member since 1990 where he started his service with the Hastings A.M. Sertoma Club.

Over they years, he has served multiple terms as president in the A.M. Club as well as the Noon Club. 

Sharrick’s many involvements include sponsorship of the annual 8-Man Football All-Star Game, support of the Sertoma Hearing Aid Bank, raising funds for hearing health equipment in Hastings Public Schools’ deaf and hard of hearing program and outreach to help The Bridge and Hastings Goodfellows.   

He is also a longtime board member of the Nebraska Sertoma Hearing Aid Bank.

On the international stage, Sharrick was named Great Plains Region Sertoman of the Year in 2019 and received the prestigious President’s Service Award in 2014.

Sharrick will hold the Regional Director role for three years, of which he was elected by fellow Sertomans from the Great Plains Region that encompasses much of the Upper Midwest.
