Norfolk, Neb - Right at Home in Norfolk is celebrating its sixth anniversary by giving back to Nebraska's women veterans, raising \$5,000 to support the Nebraska Woman's Veterans Symposium.

The Symposium, a nonprofit organization, relies on donations to host its annual three-day conference in Kearney, bringing together women veterans from across the state.

With over 14,000 women veterans in Nebraska, the funds raised will provide crucial resources, including mental health support, suicide prevention, and peer connections. According to Right at Home Co-owner Kristin Starkel, the Symposium offers "group therapy" and helps women veterans access resources they may not be aware of.

Erin Colson from the Nebraska Department of Veteran's Service Affairs emphasized the Symposium's comprehensive support, including VA disability options, community care, and vet center setups.

Right at Home hopes their contribution will inspire others to recognize and support the brave women who served the country, ensuring they receive the recognition and assistance they deserve. "It's an honor to be able to kind of give back to them," said Jeremy, highlighting the importance of remembering the sacrifices made by women veterans.
