SIDNEY, Neb. — Two people were hospitalized early Wednesday following a single-vehicle rollover crash south of Sidney.

According to the Nebraska State Patrol, a red Jeep Liberty carrying to occupants rolled at approximately 12:30 a.m. near the intersection of County Road 16 and County Road 127.

One female passenger, Amy Witcher, was flown by medical helicopter to a hospital in Scottsbluff for treatment for her injuries. Witcher tells News Channel Nebraska she's already home and recovering The other occupant was transported to Sidney Regional Medical Center by medical ambulance and is expected to be released soon. Two helicopters landed at the scene to assist with the response.

The identity of the second occumpant involved and the cause of the crash have not been released. The investigation remains ongoing.

The Nebraska State Patrol, Sidney Volunteer Fire Department, Sidney Regional Medical Center EMTs and Little Tornado Towing responded to the scene.
