PINE BLUFFS -- A fatal shooting occurred in Laramie County just outside of Pine Bluffs Tuesday afternoon.

Laramie County Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of a fatal shooting in the 1200 block of County Road 157 at 4:22 p.m. Tuesday. 

According to a Facebook post from the Laramie County Sheriff ’s Office, 52-year-old Kevin Hefley of Pine Bluffs was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

The cause of death is currently under investigation, and the investigation remains ongoing. 

According to LCSO, the suspect in the shooting was located and is not a threat to the public. 

The sheriff’s office is not releasing any more information on the suspect at this time.
