KIMBALL -- The Anderson family hosted the Grand Opening of Patriot Car Wash Monday evening, drawing a continuous crowd of community members checking out the new addition to town.

The Anderson family – who also owns Anderson Crude Transportation – wanted to open a car wash in Kimball since there hasn't been one in town for quite some time.

The car wash first opened at the beginning of the year and was open on and off, but the machines were having technical difficulties.

Both the self-wash and automatic car washes are now running smoothly and have been open since last month.

Jeff Anderson said, “We’ve had a great turnout this evening, and as the self-wash has been open, we’ve gained some traction, and it's getting much better this month.”

Those who attended the grand opening were able to put their names in a raffle for a chance to win Patriot Car Wash swag including a tumbler, cup, or cooler and free car washes. The raffle will be ongoing as the winner of the Patriot Car Wash cooler will be announced July 1.

Everyone who gets an automatic car wash can enter the raffle by printing their receipt, writing their name and number on the back, and putting it in a metal box that will be hanging up.

Community members in attendance talked about what a great addition this car wash will be for the town.

Cole Heidemann said, “It's convenient not having to drive super far for a car wash and it's in a very good spot in town, so I’m happy to have it here.”
