Sunday storm leaves behind damage
PANHANDLE -- A Sunday evening series of storms struck Panhandle counties.
Damage was reported in areas including Harrisburg in Banner County and Bridgeport in Morrill County.
Numerous homes and buildings in Harrisburg sustained broken windows and damaged siding during Sunday's storm. Several vehicles also had broken windshields Sunday night.
Residents of Harrisburg and Bridgeport reported strong winds and heavy rain during the storm. Broken windows were also reported in the west side of Bridgeport.
The National Weather Service in Cheyenne, Wyo., is reporting a possibility of thunderstorms tonight east of Laramie, Wyo. Thunderstorms are expected to become more numerous Tuesday afternoon and evening; some storms could become severe east of a line from Douglas to Cheyenne, Wyo.
Scattered thunderstorms are expected Wednesday afternoon and evening as well.
