SIDNEY — Border League softball postseason play is in Sidney this week as the community hosts two double-elimination tournaments for girls ages 9–12 and 13–16 beginning Monday, June 23, in Legion Park. 

The tournaments will feature teams from across the region, including local entries from the Cheyenne County Community Center and Sidney Girls Club. Games will run all day Monday through Wednesday, with first pitches at 9 a.m. each day. Jimmy L’s will provide concessions throughout the event.

“Our Sidney girls have worked super hard this season,” 12U Head Coach Nicole Guth said. “I’m very excited to show their skills to our community.”

12U First Round Matchups (Monday)

Imperial vs. Holyoke – 9 a.m. (Field 1)

Haxtun vs. Oshkosh – 11 a.m. (Field 1)

Ogallala vs. Sidney – 9 a.m. (Field 2)

Grant vs. Sedgewick County – 11 a.m. (Field 2)

Club Sidney vs. winner of Ogallala/Sidney – 1 p.m. (Field 2)

16U First Round Matchups (June 23)

Haxtun vs. Imperial – 3:30 p.m. (Field 1)

Grant vs. Club Sidney – 3:30 p.m. (Field 2)

Sedgewick County vs. Ogallala – 5:30 p.m. (Field 2)

Yuma vs. Holyoke – 5:30 p.m. (Field 3)

The tournaments continue Tuesday and conclude Wednesday with championship rounds scheduled throughout the afternoon. All games are free to attend.
