OMAHA, Neb. - A Nebraska high school quarterback is committing to one of the top college football programs in the nation.

Jett Thomalla of Millard South says he is going to join the Alabama Crimson Tide football program in the fall of 2026.

The four-star quarterback threw for over 3,000 yards and 47 touchdowns last season. Thomalla led the Patriots to the school's third state championship while setting state records in total yards, passing yards, passing touchdowns, and completions. He is ranked as the top Nebraska prospect in the class of 2026 and is ranked tenth in his position throughout the nation.

The quarterback held offers from schools such as Duke, Virginia Tech and Arizona. He had previously committed to Iowa State.

Alabama has won three national championships the past 10 years.
