Comic book workshop lets kids use their imagination
NORFOLK, Neb — Norfolk kids are going home with a new interest some of them were unsure of.
“I thought I’d give it a try,” Grant Kidd said. “It turned out to be pretty good.”
The Norfolk Public Library is holding events for kids this week leading up to their Comic Con Event on Saturday.
Chet Roush with Do Art Productions was at the library on Tuesday to teach the kids how to draw comics allowing them to be creative and put pencil to paper.
“You get all kinds of crazy idea that come out,” Roush said, “It’s just been really awesome to see, just some very out-there, very wacky, very incredible ideas that they come up with.”
Do Art productions travels around having workshops to let kids be kids spreading their love of comics.
For two hours the kids got to draw up comics using their imagination where they were able to express themselves.“
Grant Kidd almost didn't come to the event, but afterwards he realized.
“My favorite part of drawing comics is the creativity.” Kidd said.

The main Comic Con event will be Saturday at 9 a.m. at Johnson Park.
