OMAHA, Neb. — The Greater Omaha Chamber has recognized Flood Communications, a leading Nebraska-based media company, as its 2025 Business of the Year.

The award was presented as part of the Chamber’s annual Business Excellence Awards, which celebrate organizations that elevate the area and make it a better place to do business.

“Thank you to the Greater Omaha Chamber, to the selection committee, and to this incredible network of business leaders,” CEO Andy Ruback said at the awards ceremony. “We are truly honored to be recognized.”

A volunteer selection committee chose Flood Communications as the 2025 award winner. The committee aims to highlight businesses that demonstrates outstanding achievements that reflect leadership, vision, and a commitment to community.

In his address at the ceremony, Ruback stressed the company’s focus on serving Greater Nebraska and the state’s Hispanic community.

“There’s a gap in accessible media for half of our state’s population—and we’re proud to be the only organization serving that need at scale,” Ruback said.

Flood Communications is a Nebraska-based media company that operates television, radio, and digital platforms. Its network includes 18 radio stations and seven TV stations under the News Channel Nebraska brand.

Its Omaha office is home to Telemundo Nebraska—the state’s only local Spanish-language TV newscast—as well as Lobo 97.7 radio and News Channel Nebraska TV.
