Norfolk Fire Division receives national award for heart and stroke care
The City of Norfolk Fire Division is being recognized for its excellence in heart attack and stroke care.

NORFOLK, Neb.— The City of Norfolk Fire Division is being recognized for its excellence in heart attack and stroke care.
“Our team spends countless hours training on current best practices, and I am extremely proud of them,” said Fire Chief Tim Wragge. “This recognition is tough to obtain, and our team did it which speaks volumes about their commitment to excellence.”
The American Heart Association gives out the Mission Lifeline Gold Award for EMS every year for prehospital services that show they are the best in patient care, and the collaboration with the hospitals.
According to the AHA the number one killer in the world is heart disease with stroke being number two.
