CHAPPELL -- The Chappell community is celebrating Chappell USA Day this Saturday, June 14.

The day starts with the Lions Club Kids Fishing Derby 8 a.m. to noon. Prizes and lunch will be provided.

Goat Roping registration starts at 1 p.m. at the Deuel County Fairgrounds.

There will also be food and drink specials at community restaurants, and Price Cream Co. Ice Cream Stand, and Mr. Peanuts Cotton Candy Stand will also be available.

Registration for Kids Corn Hole is at 4 p.m. Registration fee is $10 per person. The top two teams will be awarded prizes. The youth competition is for Third through 8th grade. The tournament starts at 4:30 p.m.

The Beer Garden also opens at 4 p.m. 

The Adult Corn Hole Tournament begins immediately after the kids tournament. As with the kids, registration is $10 per person. The top two teams receive prizes.

Starting at 5 p.m., the Chamber will do $25 Chamber Bucks drawings every 30 minutes.

Bingo will be available 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. with prizes for youth and adults.

Local live talent will be on stage at 5:30 p.m. The band "High Horses" will take the stage at 5:30 p.m.

A multi-church Sunday service is scheduled for 10 a.m. in the Plaza. After the service, there will be a BBQ cook-off and church band.
