SIDNEY, Neb. — Radio station 987 The Big Boy (KSID-FM) is currently off the air due to an unexpected equipment malfunction, station officials confirmed Tuesday morning.

The issue began last weekend and has temporarily silenced over-the-air broadcasts from the station’s Sidney-based signal. Engineering crews have been alerted and are actively working to resolve the problem. The station anticipates returning to the airwaves sometime Tuesday afternoon or evening, barring any unexpected additional issues.

The station says they appreciate listener's patience and understanding while their team works to get think back up and running.

In the meantime, 987 The Big Boy’s full lineup, including music, local news, weather and market updates — is available through multiple streaming options:

- Online at thebigboy987.com

- On the free News Channel Nebraska app

- By telling Alexa to "Play 987 The Big Boy"

The station will provide updates as they become available.
