Bridgeport woman enters no contest on bad check charges
A Bridgeport woman entered a No Contest plea for writing bad checks and will be sentenced July 11 in Scotts Bluff County District Court.

Sentencing set for July 11
SCOTTSBLUFF -- Kimberly Ingersoll, 36, of Bridgeport, will be sentenced July 11 for two counts of Bad Check-$5,000 or more.
Charges were filed against Ingersoll on Jan. 30 2025 related to writing insufficient checks each totaling more than $5,000. Each of the checks were used to purchase vehicles from dealerships, according to court records.
According to court records, Ingersoll wrote six checks totaling almost $80,000 between March and December 2024. On May 19, 2025, four of the six charges were dismissed.
She entered a No Contest plea on May 22. As part of the plea agreement, Ingersoll waived her right to a trial.
