GRAND ISLAND, Neb. — CHI Health St. Francis in Grand Island has been selected to receive a prestigious award for the second time.

The American Nurses Credentialing Center is recognizing St. Francis for their nursing excellence and providing the highest level of patient care.

The Magnet Recognition Program is the ultimate benchmark for nursing excellence and contains only 30 hospitals worldwide.

Magnet-recognized organizations such as St. Francis report shorter patient stays, reduced falls, lower infection rates and overall better patient outcomes.

Kiley Grzywa, the vice president of patient care services, says, “St. Francis is a special place, and being redesigned as a Magnet with Distinction organization validates that our community is receiving the very best care, delivered by nurses who are supported to be the very best that they can be.”
